I’ve been really busy with school and my freelancing career (which is a good thing) but I’ve neglected to update the blog in a while. I’m still here and yes we are still moving forward! We’ve paid off another credit card and right now we are at about 13% of progress towards completing BS2. I expect this to jump to over 20% by the end of May due to an upcoming commission payout.
When I listen to Dave Ramsey’s show, I often hear him talk about how people that start focusing on money start to see more money coming in. Of course this isn’t true for everyone but it has definitely held true for us. We started focusing on paying down this enormous mountain of debt and more financial opportunities are coming our way.
First I expanded my freelance business a bit and am bringing in another 20-25% per month. Second, my husband’s new job has provided him with commission opportunities. What I didn’t realize was that there are also bonus opportunities. Recently he helped out a colleague and for going above and beyond, he was awarded with a nice bonus. He’s also in line to receive a bonus for a specific product sale if the contract is signed by 6/30. Again, these were things we weren’t aware of when he started this job.
So yes we are focusing on paying down this debt as quickly as possible and we are finding more earning potential as we do so. We are blessed and I’m thankful for that.
